The Metlakatla CLH Department would like to invite you to join our
Sm’algyax Scavenger Hunts!
Wednesdays July 22, July 29, and August 5th
Hosted by the Culture Lands and Heritage Department’s own Christy Harker and Ashlyn Sampson.
The hunts start at the Metlakatla Ball Field at 10 am for the next three Wednesdays.
Lunch and prizes around noon!
Each Wednesday, we’ll set out looking for some of these resources from the forest and the ocean:

- Amgan -Cedar
- Lo’ots – Red Elderberry
- Mahwan – Horsetail
- Gyoos – Giant kelp
